Begin of practicing drawing!

Hello Everyone! I was looking for a kind of course to learn how to draw from the beginning. I first watched the youtube channel draw like a sir. Although it is a great channel, I saw myself never drawing after watching a video, because I didn't really know what and where to start. This doesn't mean this has to count for everyone. Then I came to the human drawing course from Proko. Although I will be following that one, it will not be now, for the sole reason that it is 120 video's + homework. Although some of em would not be neccasary (like learning to draw zombies), most of them are. I do have enough time to start to learn it in time, but then I will have the problem I can't draw the rest. I don't think I have enough time to do like 2 vids of that one day, while doing writing, school and this blog at the same time. So I went with a third option: The Beginner's Drawing Course by MarkowskyArt. I heard him say some things that I heard before an artist: draw from your shoulder, not your wrist.

Bad quality shape learning cause I only had a yellow pencil.

This might sound crazy, I know. Like why would you do that in the first place? It seems crazy. It because your shoulder can take long sessions better as your wrist. It also gives better quality drawings in the long run. So it seems worth going for, although I am gambling the quality of my one-shot by doing this. But I am willing to take this risk: the first story is for practice after all. MarkowskyArt's first practice was to draw a face, then mirror it. I thought this was a strange way to start: no shapes, no simple objects, but mirroring. But it was for a good reason: it helps the brain make connections, so you can draw better in the future, because you are using both sides of your brain. It is kinda crazy, but I feel like he knows what he says, so I am here to follow his course. Although the length of the videos is much longer as Proko's, you can draw alongside Markow, so the time on the playlist is around the time you will spend on the video.

My try at the two faces, can you see something else as well here?

Markow's video also covers humans, both boys and girls. It also covers things like hair, landscapes and such, which are vary useful for making a story. I think he uses a more realistic style, but that's good: I can go everywhere with that, even making my own style. I just have to find some other tutorials which cover comic/manga art and maybe some other thing I will miss for this one-shot.

See you later!
